Switching Back to Firefox: Redirecting Outlook Links Away from Bing

It seems like the default web browser setting has been changed on your computer. If your Outlook application is opening links in Bing (presumably through Microsoft Edge), you’ll need to set Firefox as your default web browser. Here’s how to do it:

For Windows 10:

1. Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select the gear icon for “Settings”.
2. Go to Apps: In the Windows Settings menu, click on “Apps”.
3. Select Default apps: On the left pane, click on “Default apps”.
4. Change the Web browser: Scroll down to the “Web browser” section. Click on the current browser icon (which might be Microsoft Edge) and choose “Mozilla Firefox” from the list.

For Windows 11:

1. Open Settings: Click on the Start menu and select the gear icon for “Settings”.
2. Go to Apps: In the Windows Settings menu, click on “Apps” and then select “Default apps”.
3. Choose Default Apps by Protocol: Under the ‘Choose default apps by file type, protocol, or app’ section, click on the link that says “Choose default apps by protocol”.
4. Find the HTTP and HTTPS Protocols: Scroll through the list and find the protocols labeled HTTP and HTTPS.
5. Change the Default Browser for These Protocols: For both the HTTP and HTTPS protocols, click on the current default browser (likely Microsoft Edge) and select “Mozilla Firefox” from the dropdown menu.

Once you’ve done this, your Outlook application should open links in Firefox instead of Bing/Microsoft Edge.
